Using only quality materials and equipment, BorderScan's fully mobile service can operate wherever there is access to an electricity supply, it really is as simple as that.

JANUARY 2026 - JANUARY 2027 BORDERSCAN IS CLOSED

Unfortunately in January 2026 Heather was diagnosed with an advanced cancer. The treatment is a big battle that will take the best part of a year and will have many dark days along the way.
She has reluctantly decided to take the year out, and apologises to all her lovely clients and friends for any inconvenience caused. It is her goal to be back scanning for you from January 2027 onwards.

  • when should I book?

    As soon as possible after your bitch has been mated, but definitely within two weeks of that. The best time to scan is 30-35 days of gestation, so the earlier you get in touch the more likely it is there's an appointment available for you in that time frame.
    Don't leave it to the last minute!
    "Can you pop out tomorrow?" Err ... no.

    BorderScan is run by me, Heather. I'm a retired science teacher who has trained, competed, judged and bred dogs for over 40 years. I trained in 'the safe use of ultrasound for confirmation of canine pregnancy' (Levels 1 & 2) in 2015 with Vet Image Solutions in Kent. I am fully insured and a member of the PVG Scheme Record Disclosure (Scotland.)
